The crafts of Central Asia are characterized by its details of silversmith's trade and its embroidered textiles.

Jewels are offered to the girls from their youngest age; at first simple and of modest value, these become then much more precious, silver sometimes heightened by gold and decorated with stones semiprecious. During its marriage, the fiançée carries all its jewels which establish besides a part( of its dowry.

The Turkmen traditional costume consists of a garment decorated with embroidery. The art of the embroidery also meets itself in particular hangings, "suzani", the word of which means literally "needle" in Persian and which are embroidery made with the necklace point or with the boukhara point.

Specialized in the arts of Central Asia, our gallery presents numerous traditional jewels of the Turkmen tribes as well as a rich collection of suzani.
